When you click submit, the page reloads. The person inputting the information does not know that it is sent, and keeps pressing submit. My client receives upwards of 10 emails before the submitter assumes that it has been sent.

I have tried every combination of the above buttons as I can think of. I have checked and unchecked the Use WP CF7 CSS and tested multiple times, with no success. I also tested the url of the “success” redirect page, and it is indeed correct.

No the form submitter is not click happy. No, I am not using an additional form plugin.

Link to a form I can test?

Are you using a caching plugin?

Have you followed the standard troubleshooting procedure?

    1. Check for plugin conflicts:
Deactivate all possible plugins: Did that solve the problem?

If it did, it’s a plugin conflict:
Reactivate plugins one at a time until the problem returns. The last plugin activated is the culprit. Report back with that plugin name/link and I can troubleshoot the issue to determine if there’s a fix.

    If not:

    2. Check for theme conflicts:
With all plugins disabled, switch to a bundled theme (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014). Did that solve the problem?

If it did, your theme is causing the issue. Talk to the theme vendor directly or request premium support to have me troubleshoot the issue with your theme.

If not, it’s an issue with your hosting:
Talk to your host or request premium support to have me troubleshoot the issue with your server.

I was using a caching plugin but disabled it because your plugin was not working. Yes, i did do the standard dismantle the site, while in production, to figure out why your plugin isn’t working. Then I came to the support forum and saw that there were several other people having the same issue.

Looks like you aren’t worried about theme compatibility and all theme developers should work to make sure they are compatible with your plugin. Good attitude. I guess I’ll be looking for something else.

Have you provided me a URL to test? I can’t diagnose what I can’t see.

    Where’s the attitude coming from?

Separate threads allow me to diagnose each issue without overlapping conversations.

The troubleshooting procedure verifies where the problem actually exists.

I never said you had to do that on a production install — a local dev or staging site works as well.

It’s a free plugin and I’m supporting it for free… I can’t support every theme out there (also for free) and 99% of the time theme issues are due to poorly written themes (thus, not my responsibility to fix). The combinations of themes and plugins possible with WP is ridiculously large, and I’m just one man, so I can only do so much.

If there is a legitimate bug in the plugin I try to address those where and when I can – but I need to know what the real issue is first and duplicate it so I know when it’s fixed.

I offer premium support for those who want to hire me to fix their theme/plugin issues if they are not verifiable bugs in the plugin.

I’m not sure what else you expect of me… a volunteer?

If you want to move on, feel free, but consider saving the judgement until you’ve supported a free plugin for a few years and know the realities involved.
