No access to site after update

  • After my site did an automatic update of Wordfence I can’t access it at all. I get an Error 500 message. When I rename the Wordfence folder the site works again. If I try to reinstall Wordfence I get a critical error notice and it says Wordfence could not be activated. Is there a way to fix this?

    Hi,

    Can you post the error text that you see when you cannot activate Wordfence?

    If you can find the site’s error log, you can also see the message it showed when the original ‘500’ error occurred, unless the host deletes older error logs.
