    Hello Complianz

I’m logged in with the owner role (role with most privileges in wordpress) in to the admin.
When I tap on the settings button at the complianz plugin.
    Then I get a page I don’t have access

The API call returns a 403.
I’m on version 6.5.6 of the plugin

How can I access the plugin now?

    With kind regards,

    Pop the bottles

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hoi @popthebottles,

It does sound like your WordPress User doesn’t have sufficient permissions to access the Complianz settings yet, and I suspect that it occurs because your role/user doesn’t have a capability called manage_privacy, which is needed to access Complianz.

The quickest way to assign this capability to yourself would be to use a plugin such as “Advanced Access Manager”. In that plugin, click the cogwheel next to your User in the right-hand menu, and navigate to the “Capabilities” tab after doing so.

Then search for the manage_privacy capability, and tick the checkbox to assign it to your user/role. And you should be able to access Complianz after doing so.

    Kind regards, Jarno

    Hi all, same issue here.
I’ve administrator role. Get “no permission” error when I visit “/wp-admin/admin.php?page=complianz”
    No “manage_privacy” found in capabilities.

Also our Privacy policy and Cookie consent page are returning a 418 error code.

    Update (fixed!):

After checking general privacy settings I saw feedback that WordPress assumed the Complianz app was disabled although it was still active in “Plugins” overview.

Complianz reappeared again after disabling and reactivating it again.

    Complianz 7.0.5
    WordPress 6.5.3
