    Hi,

Just before an update of woocommerce I changed something in the html/php codes of an email lay-out. However this seemed to give me some problems and therefore my e-mails are not arriving to the customer. When I wanted to change it back to the original format I figured that after the update I have no longer access to the html/php codes. Therefore I’m not able to solve the issue that I have with the woocommerce email not arriving to the customer.

How do I get access to the html/php codes from the Woocommerce emails?
I have screenshots but am not able to add them to this message?

    Please help me asap.

  • Hi,

Consider checking out this blog post that demonstrates how to personalize WooCommerce emails: https://woocommerce.com/posts/how-to-customize-emails-in-woocommerce/.

You can consider the WooCommerce Email Customizer plugin for editing emails. This premium plugin comes with a 30-day refund guarantee, and you can ask pre-sale questions by visiting: https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/.

I hope this points you in the right direction.

    Hi,

Unfortunately this is not resolving my answer.

My question is how do I gain access again to the html codes of the Woocommerce emails. Before I went to Woocommerce>Settting>Emails> Processing Order email>Manage or to Customizer>Theme’s>Theme editor but both options disappeared after the Woocommerce update and therefore I’m not able to correct the error in the html code that I made before the update, that is the reason my e-mail is not arriving at the customer.

Please see screenshots. Can you explain to me how I gain acces again to the codes?

    Thanks

    Hi @kellymh13

Thanks for providing further information about your issue here.

I understand that you’re unable to access the settings under Woocommerce>Settting>Emails> Processing Order email>Manage or Customizer>Theme’s>Theme editor after the recent update.

Are you referring to the WooCommerce update here? If so, I checked my personal site running on WooCommerce 7.7.2 and I am still able to manage my Email settings as you can see below:

Unfortunately, I am unable to access the screenshots you shared above as it produces an error on my end.

Can you please re-share them again using https://snipboard.io instead? You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

    Hi,

Yes that is what I mean. I have asked friends of mine with a WordPress website and they say that they have the same issue after the Woocommerce update.

I have added the screenshots again this time with snipboard.

Please let me know how I gain access again to the html codes as shown in the screenshots.

    Thanks

    Hello @kellymh13,

I also wasn’t able to replicate this.

You can try to access the site files using FTP to check if the mentioned template exists in woocommerce/templates/emails/customer-processing-order.php.

If you can’t find it, simply delete then re-install WooCommerce. This should re-generate all plugin files. :?)

Let us know how it goes!
