Instead of adding the filter, have you tried going to the Customizer?

I did not see an option in customizer to customize the style.

You don’t have a Colors section?

Otherwise, what is the exact code you are trying and where are you putting it?

Ah not i found out the colours section. Since i have a Generatepress premium theme, That has also added colours sections and i was searching code customizer in that colors section.

Now even if i change the colour theme to google code, The syntax colours are not changing ?? Even i deleted and installed a fresh version of the plugin.

Here’s how to specify the colors via PHP instead of via the Customizer: https://github.com/westonruter/syntax-highlighting-code-block/wiki#specifying-the-styles

I’m also using GeneratePress, so this helped me.

For anyone else using GP as your theme:
    1. Appearance > Customize
    2. You’ll see two “Colors” tabs. Click the second one.

You should see “Syntax Highlighting Theme”. If you see “Background Color”, you’re in the wrong “Colors” tab.
