• After upgrading WooCommerce to version 2.4.12 and WordPress to version 4.4, payments that are supposed to go through NMI are returning a “Gateway Error”. The payments seem to be going through WordPress (the orders are getting placed in WooCommerce and the email is being sent as confirmation), but the orders aren’t getting sent to NMI anymore.

    Gateway Error

    is not a string from WooCommerce itself, so it must be something between the interaction of NMI gateway and NMI plugin. Raise with the author of NMI.

    I rolled WordPress back to version 4.3.1, and everything is working again. So it’s a compatibility error between WordPress 4.4 and WooCommerce or the WooCommerce NMI addon.
