Nisarg-Child theme changes text formatting

So after creating a Nisarg child theme, my website looks different with this child theme when compared to with the parent theme. The text becomes less spaced out and the website title (in the navbar/menu bar) changes from black to grey. I would greatly appreciate any help in figuring out why this is. Thanks
