    WP: 5.4.2
    Plugin ver: 1.2.5

While I’ve already requested assistance using Ninja’s contact email, and they did respond two days ago, I haven’t heard a response since then regarding this issue. It’s understandable that I’m using the freebie and paid users have priority, so I thought I’d go this route.

I have the placeholder text for a phone field set to “(XXX) XXX-XXXX” and have selected the Input Mask “Phone – (XXX) XXX-XXXX”. On desktop everything works fine. However, when on mobile, the numbers that are entered are pushing the area code and underscore to the right instead of filling in and replacing the Input Mask data. Even though it formats correctly after I ‘click’ in another field, this is a problem for users who are entering in the data and is confusing.

WHAT I’VE DONE THAT HAS NOT WORKED TO FIX THE ISSUE:
    – switched to “Twenty Twenty” theme and tested.
    – disabled all plugins except for ‘Easy WP SMTP’, ‘Redirection’ and ‘Yoast SEO’ and tested.
    – disabled caching and tested

While I do have Browserstack to test mobile, it’s not accurate when it comes to entering/testing the field.

Is anyone else having this problem?

    Hello, Justin.

I will actually respond here, because I think this may happen to other users of this plugin:

Even though I did use the WordPress Plugins to update the Ninja Forms plugin, and while the version number did change, the Ninja Forms plugin itself didn’t [officially] update.

What I had to do was go into the Ninja Settings and upgrade it from there. After that, I had to rebuild not only the Phone field with the Input Mask but also had to rebuild the reCAPTCHA field. Once that was done, then there were no further issues.

Why the update didn’t work with WordPress Plugins by default is beyond me, even though WordPress had the latest update and the site installation was running the latest PHP 7.3.x (7.4 wasn’t available).

Ninja Support was awesome, BTW, and I’m sorry I couldn’t get back to you sooner via email.
