Ninja Phone Input Mask Not Friendly on Phone Devices
-
WP: 5.4.2
Plugin ver: 1.2.5While I’ve already requested assistance using Ninja’s contact email, and they did respond two days ago, I haven’t heard a response since then regarding this issue. It’s understandable that I’m using the freebie and paid users have priority, so I thought I’d go this route.
I have the placeholder text for a phone field set to “(XXX) XXX-XXXX” and have selected the Input Mask “Phone – (XXX) XXX-XXXX”. On desktop everything works fine. However, when on mobile, the numbers that are entered are pushing the area code and underscore to the right instead of filling in and replacing the Input Mask data. Even though it formats correctly after I ‘click’ in another field, this is a problem for users who are entering in the data and is confusing.
WHAT I’VE DONE THAT HAS NOT WORKED TO FIX THE ISSUE:
– switched to “Twenty Twenty” theme and tested.
– disabled all plugins except for ‘Easy WP SMTP’, ‘Redirection’ and ‘Yoast SEO’ and tested.
– disabled caching and testedWhile I do have Browserstack to test mobile, it’s not accurate when it comes to entering/testing the field.
Is anyone else having this problem?
