    Hello,

I’ve been designing a website which contains google maps and a google recaptcha integration with a form (WP Forms)

With using the integrations tab, the plugin says that the cookies for these elements are blocked until the user has given consent. However, with using multiple cookie scanners, the Google NID marketing cookie is still showing.
However strangely, on some scanners, it is not appearing at all. This is not due to it from loading via cache.

Do you know why this would still be appearing in the first place?

    Hi @tweakified,

I blocked Google Maps in Elementor here as a demo, this should roughly be the result. https://demo.complianz.io/placeholders/google-maps/

Both reCaptcha and Google Maps don’t seem to be blocked prior to consent,

To double check, are you sure Safe Mode is not enabled under Settings, and both services are enabled under Integrations – Services?

    Let me know, thanks!

    Hi @tweakified,

I will have to install WPForms, and reproduce the issue, if I can. Your screenshots show a different layout for Complianz, it seems a plugin affects the back-end as well.

Could you post your plugin list here as well, so I can have a look?

    regards Aert

The reason why the layout might be different is because I was viewing it with a mobile device.

    My other plugins:

    ElementsKit Lite
    Premium Addons for Elementor
    Property Hive Mortgage Calculator
    Property Hive Stamp Duty Calculator

    Hi @tweakified,

I now have reCaptcha V3 in WPForms, and prior to consent, no cookies.

Could it be you have the reCaptcha, or Google Maps API set in two different places, like your theme and Elementor for example?

    regards Aert

    Hello,

I’m not sure what you mean about the two separate places. However the google maps comes from Elementor, and the wpforms ReCaptcha is from wpforms.
    I’m using ReCaptcha v2.

Is there anything I could add to the script centre to block it manually?

    Hi @tweakified,

There’s a function in Elementor, I think under Tools or Settings to add reCaptcha and Google Maps keys as well.

You can ask complianz.io/support/ to log this as a ticket, you can skip the license key field.

We need to do a deep dive, because it seems specific to your configuration,

    regards Aert
