STC is now in a phase where it can handle categories and custom taxonomies. It also can cope with custom post types. Some users have been asking questions concerning the layout of the e-mail notifications. I’m thinking it might be a good idea to use templates for this purpose. I would like to know how many users would like this feature?

  • Hi Sidney

yes it would be useful to have templates for the notifications, to be honest I use the default because I don;t understand how to modify the message!

Definitely Yes. Many website need you customize their own Email as their own style for better communication with users.

All in all current STC has now 6 areas to add HTML stuff. I propose to leave that as is to accommodate current users. On top of that:

    • A custom post type with 6 post containing HTML text
    • Each post contains HTML stuff with inline styling
    • No CSS stuff in headers or external
    • Each post contains the content for one area only
    • STC admin will have checkboxes for each of the 6 areas
    • What does anybody think about this setup?

New version 2.4.9 with all of the above release

    Notes:
    1. do not forget to set the STC admin categories checked
    2. do not forget (if wanted) to produce your own HTML section posts to incorporate in the notification e-nails.

New version 2.4.10 overcomes the above mentioned problem of needing to check

Yes! very good! Design options for emails are becoming more and more important. In particular, I would like the entire content to be able to be displayed in the middle of the mail. (text align: left content align: centered)

    Kind Regards
