Nice plugin, but slows down your WordPress website badly

  • I purchased the license for this plugin and although the pricing tables look nice and come with a lot of features, WRC Pricing Tables is not well designed, because it slows down your website. When I ran a performance test on WebPageTest.org, I found that my website took 3 seconds longer to load because of the CSS from this plugin. Even with optimizing plugins like Autoptimze, the waterfall views show that WRC Pricing Tables had a huge bar in my performance waterfall.

    To solve this, I had to take a screenshot of the pricing table and add it as a graphic and then disable the plugin, so now when I need to change the pricing tables, I have to re-activate WRC Pricing Tables, make my changes, take a new screenshot and re-upload it through WordPress’ media library which is too much work. Plus, I had to redo all of my Paypal links since I can no longer use them through the plugin.

    If you are using only 1 or 2 pricing tables in your theme, then delete other pricing tables if you are not using them in your theme. The CSS file you are having size issue, is a dynamic CSS file generated for the pricing tables you have on your lists. So, if you have 5 pricing tables, then it will generate dynamic style content for all 5 tables and will generate a large CSS file. We can give you a solution to avoid dynamic external CSS file, but then you have to consider inline CSS in your website. This way, you can show dynamic CSS for only the pricing table you are showing in a page. Let me know your thought and open a ticket in our website using your premium account.
