Nice but incorrect info on FAQ
-
First, this is a nice plugin. That said there is something in the FAQ that appears to not be accurate:
————————————-
Can I optimize all existing images in my media library?
A: Yes! After installing the plugin, go to Media > Bulk Optimization, and click on the start button to optimize all unoptimized images in your media library.
————————————-As a test to see about purchasing the plugin (which I have no problem with), following the instructions as mentioned above, it stopped optimizing at 503 images and all of them have been on the site for 3 weeks.
This site is an image heavy site and I’ve been looking for alternatives to Photoshop, thus when I read this FAQ I became interested and would purchase with no issue.
I simply wanted to point out that users should not be misled by this FAQ. It’s OK if there is a limit but do not tell those of us looking for a solution that all current site images currently in the library will be optimized. Maybe I’m missing something?
After the limited optimization my PageSpeed Insights from Google actually scored worse then the initial images.
Something is missing, incorrect information? who knows but now I have to go back to the original images and reoptomize them in Photoshop.
Very bummed out.
