NGINX Warning On Installation
-
When I installed your plugin, I received this message:
Because your server is running on nginx, our .htaccess file can’t protect your downloads.
Please add the following rules to your nginx config to disable direct file access:I can probably figure out how to edit this file and place the code in there, but it would be helpful to understand the following:
1) If I don’t change the code, what is the risk, what do you specifically mean that you can’t protect my downloads.
2) If I do place this code in there, will it prevent my ability to offer downloads that may exist on old blog posts or on pages that I haven’t gotten to convert to work with your plugin’s shortcodes? Thanks
