    Hi Zak,

Yes, it does stop spam submissions through Ninja Forms. And, yes it will work very well on Nginx and with that app. We highly recommend Nginx.

Let us know if you ever have any more questions or need help with anything else. Have a good one.

Thanks for clarify Scott, I’ve installed the module on our site but am experiencing some issues.

I ran some tests on a variety of forms, some submitted without issue but others where flagged as automated spam (got the warning page).

Could you explain how spam submissions are detected please so I can work out whether it’s a bug or perhaps just me filling out forms too quickly or something?

    Kind regards,

    Zak

    Hi Zak,

We’ll need a bit more info from you on the specifics, and we’ll need to email back and forth, so please head over to the WP-SpamShield Support Form, and take a moment to fill out a support request. That will allow us to take care of this as quickly as possible for you.

I just wanted to post a follow up for anyone else reading this.

After getting in touch with us through the support form, we figured out the issue.

It was related to the user testing in a private browsing mode window that was disabling the normal use of cookies and JavaScript. JavaScript and cookies are required for the plugin to work.

After disabling these and using a normal browsing window, everything is working just as it should.
