  • I am trying to get this working as well.
    Did you solve it already?

I have not been able to figure it.

Hi there – if I understand correctly, you are wanting pagination for galleries, correct? So if you have more than 8, it limits to 8 per page, and then advances to the next page to see the next page of galleries?

Assuming that’s the case, this functionality doesn’t exist in NG right now, and you’ll need to do a fair amount of customization to produce it.

I’d encourage you to suggest it as a feature request at:
    https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/feature-voting/

It’s not listed on that page yet, so you’d want to suggest in the open comment field.

    Thanks! (Erick)

Hey all – just an update on this. I realize now that you’re referring to custom field functionality built in to NextGEN 1.9.x. I have a strong suspicion we missed this in our major update. I’ll check to confirm and if we did miss it, we’ll probably try to add this back within the main interface rather than using custom fields. Thanks for raising this. (Erick again)

I’m just adding this for reference, both for users and for us so we can see related discussion on this issue.

For other NG team members, please note the same missing functionality is discussed here:

Tried fixes from other posts – results:
This is the problem I get. The pagination nav shows up, the limit to 9 galleries takes place, but when I click on page 2 I get a 404. Looked at url’s, and it comes out really weird. Here is example:
Actual WP page (it is because client setup some odd security on their site):
    https://www.thebrightwells.com/level2/wplatest/?page_id=350

But when click on nav for page 2, this is resulting site:
    https://www.thebrightwells.com/level2/wplatest/level2/wplatest/page/2?page_id=350/

If you want to try, here is a guest login:
    user: guest

Any ideas? @photocrati, idea when update may allow pagination?

@paradiselost79, you have that pagination issue because you have added a not well tested code from an user who kindly posted it in the topic linked above by Photocrati, so it makes no sense that you ask for help for that code outside of that topic, and you have already do it.
It’s against the forum rules post the same request in every topic dealing the same question from other users, it’s like bumping and I see that you did it many times.
My advice is the same of the first post: if it’s that urgent, consider hiring someone.
And, BTW, it’s not that a plugin author must necessarily put as a mandatory every thing that every user requests and, if he does, he does when he wants/can.

Only reason I posted in both is because they both refer to each other as the one to go to, so I just was unsure which to go to that the posters would actually read. photocrati has mentioned many times this would be included in update, and one recently came without it so curiosity killed the cat i guess.

    Hi There,

Just wondering if there was an update on this?

@olson Silver – As this is an old topic I would suggest crating your own topic to address issues you are experiencing.

    Thanks!
