Nextgengallery: link image to page

I use Nextgengallery versionnummer 2.0.65

To link an image to a page I followed this tutorial. Unfortunately this workaround has some limitations. For example once implemented, the original lightboxfunction no longer functions. So it’s the one way or the other, while my interest goes to having both options.

Does anyone know another way to work the problem? Thanks in advance.
