• Hi all!

I have web-site using NextGenGallery. It is multi-language site, it has 3 languages. With default language there are no problems, but when I include gallery code on Second or Third Language I get Error: “Gallery not found. Please check your settings.”

How to make it work on other languages?
    Multi-language Plugin – Stella.

    Please Help.

@NiFile – It would seem, from what you are describing, your translation plugin may be causing a conflict … or another plugin may be causing a conflict, have you checked to see if that is the case?

You might also consider a different translation plugin as well.

I also think there is some conflict, but I’m not so good in this questions and I cant fix it.
What translation plugin will work with NextGenGallery correctly? Can you recommend me?

@NiFile – We do not have any specific recommendation for any translation plugins at this time. It seems each poses its own issues that need to be dealt with.

If you would like to submit a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) with your site specifics, especially for this particular issue with a translation plugin we would be happy to try and help you get this sorted out.

We will need log in and FTP credentials for your WordPress installation as well, please include those with your Bug Report.

    Thanks!

@NiFile – Thank you! We will continue troubleshooting there.

I’m experiencing the same problem. One of my clients is using Stella and NextGen and this problem occurred during a recent update of either plugins or WordPress. She’s done the updates herself so I don’t know what could have caused it.

The gallery displays as it should when viewing a page in the default language, but when switching to another language the message “Gallery not found. Please check your settings.” appears. Stella adds the language prefix to the URL. Could that be the problem?

    I have a similar issue.

No error message, but on the translated page (with an additional /en/ in the URL path) only the first image/thumbnail is displayed instead of the whole gallery.

I use the latest version of WP (3.9.1), Stella (1.4) and NextGEN (2.0.66)

    Can this be fixed somehow?

@grlfsk – As this topic was started prior to the last update of the Stella plugin have you also contacted its author to see if they are working on any compatibility issues?

    – Cais.

PS: I believe you have also sent in a Bug Report, which we followed through with sending you a copy of an internal beta version to test. Let’s continue the conversation there, or please start a new topic here (due to the significant time difference from the OP) if you did not send in the Bug Report. Thanks. C.

Has anyone figured out a solution? Really would like the galleries to work on the other language pages also.

    Not really, sorry.
After all I decided to go for another variant with the FancyBox for WordPress plugin for the default WordPress gallery.

@unbelieva – We currently support the use of WPML for sites wanting a multilingual installation I would suggest looking at that plugin if the Stella plugin is still not compatible with NextGEN Gallery.

    – Cais.

Stella works fine with Nextgen 1.9.13 but not newer version. I did a rollback (although it’s not recommended), it was the best solution for me and my customer. Otherwise I would’ve had to migrate all the site information in from Stella to WPML.
