• I’m on WP 3.9.2 and NGG 2.0.66.17.

I have the NextGen Widget on a homepage, and have it set to show 9 images, but it is instead showing a random number, usually 6, sometimes 8, when set to “random” instead of “recently added”. If I change it to recently added, it always shows 9 as expected. I also have it set to only pull from galleries 16,17,18,19,20 all of which have plenty of images to pull from.

@dalemoore – This is a recently discovered issue with the NextGEN Widget. By using the “random” option is chooses the images first then it applies the gallery selection criteria afterward. If all of the pre-selected images are not within the galleries selected (in this case) then only those found will be displayed.

It basically is showing the union of (# of random images()images in selected galleries).

We are now aware of this but I do not have an ETA when it will be addressed at this time.

Okay, thanks for the info. I will keep it on recently added for the time being until fixed.

@dalemoore – Thanks, that will be the best work-around in the meantime as well.
