NextGen version 2.1.77 does not allow to crop thumbnails

    Hi,
    After updating the NextGen plugin, the size of the thumbnails in the galleries were changed. So now I have 3 instead of 4 columns and I cannot make the thumbnails smaller again. I emptied cache before changing the size, but nothing is changing. Please help!

    @stichtingdebergen – Although a link to where this is happening might be very useful I would suggest looking at the content-width available to be used within the space you have the inserted display and then compare to the size of the thumbnails being displayed.

    In most of these cases, although we have not changed anything specifically with padding or margins it is likely the case where the current content-width is just short a few pixels to allow for the older expected layout.

    You can generally adjust this by reducing the inserted displays thumbnail dimensions (at least the width) by one or two pixels.

    Hi Cais,

    That is what I tried to do (reducing the thumbnail dimensions), but changes are not saved… I went to Galery settings, Miniature options. Am I doing something wrong?

    These were 4 columns before the update.

    @stichtingdebergen – If you are only changing the thumbnail dimensions under Gallery Settings then you will need to re-insert the gallery; your other option is to change the thumbnails dimensions in the customizations accordion panel for the specific inserted display where this is an issue.

    Making changes under Gallery > Gallery Settings, or Gallery > Other Options > Thumbnail Options will only be applied to newly inserted displays, or newly created galleries respectively.

    @stichtingdebergen – I am not certain why you are seeing these changes after updating as I do not have a “before” reference for your site to see if there is anything we might be able to review further although I am seeing the inserted display is wrapped in an <h4> element which is not the default for our displays, perhaps there is something in that aspect of your workflow?
