• I’m trying to make a Video Gallery using NextGen, with Easy Fancybox functionality. In the FAQ’s there’s this:

Can I link a NextGEN thumbnail to a Youtube movie in FancyBox?
User Mark Szoldan shared a neat trick how to do this:

Follow the instructions to make Easy FancyBox work smoothly with NextGEN above and make sure it all works correctly for normal thumbnails linked to their full-size version.
Then give the image that you want to link to a Youtube movie the URL to the Youtube page as title.
Finally paste the code below into a text widget that will live in your sidebar or footer bar, or you can hard-code it into your theme but make sure it come before the wp_footer() call…

And I tried it but when I click on the thumbnail, it works like a normal image, the video doesn’t appear.

    Website: LINK

The js code from the FAQ is manually posted in header.php.

It’s time-sensitive for me. I hope you can help!

    Thanks!

  • Hi, then there is likely some error occurring. Did you get any messages in your browser console / debug bar / developer tool bar ?

Right now I removed the code and used a different plugin, but it also doesn’t work. So I’m kind of stuck ??

I didn’t get any error messages at all. It just occurs as a normal image fancybox and not the video.

Should I reactivate and you’ll take a look?

    Thank you!!

I see the following error after page load (even before clicking the link):

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'charAt' of undefined ngg-video-extend.js?ver=3.9.1:22

which looks related to the NGG Video Extend plugin.
