NextGen thumbnail galleries don’t look good on mobile

The thumbnail galleries look OK on desktops but when you view them on a mobile device the look like garbage. They don’t adjust to fit the device when viewed in landscape and don’t look good in portrait format, either. The NextGen galleries basically just don’t look like they are made for mobile. Is there anything that can be done to fix this? It looks very unprofessional.
