I had an issue with the latest PHP – NextGen was not working at all – so I’ve rolled back php to version 5.6. I deleted the NextGen Gallery Plugin and installed latest version 2.2.18 Now I can see the Add NextGen Gallery icon in the toolbar again, but none of the slideshows work. I’ve tried standard and pro versions.
I need to get the NextGen Pro Slideshows that I have set up on https://karenlucasphoto.com/school/photography-tours-asia/ working asap please.

Hi. The problem is still there. I’ve had to replace the nextgen slideshows with other slideshows that actually work. I copied the code that was on my tours page to a test page at https://karenlucasphoto.com/school/ajde-test/?preview_id=940&preview_nonce=d49621e1c2&_thumbnail_id=-1&preview=true Here you’ll notice the slideshow just shows up as code. You can try to insert any nextgen slideshow on this page and it doesn’t work. Just shows code on the website although it lets you configure it.

@karennel – We are not able to see “preview” pages on your site … would you be able to publish that page and provides its published link for us to view first-hand?

Hey @karennel – Unfortunately that URL resulted in a 404 error for me ?? https://www.screencast.com/t/6kEMIneoM

We’ve now implemented a work around that ensures NextGEN Gallery fully loads and works for specific versions of PHP that have a known bug.

You can also download and manually install (replacing the existing current NextGEN Gallery version) the following NextGEN Gallery version. This version of NextGEN Gallery should work on any version of PHP. https://imagely.com/wp-content/staging/nextgen-gallery.2.2.20.zip

If our latest version does not correct the display error you’re seeing, most issues that come up with plugins not working as expected can be resolved by testing for a possible plugin conflict – or a possible conflict with a theme. To test this, temporarily switch your theme to a WordPress default, just long enough to check and see if the issue is resolved. If it is not, than you just confirmed there is no theme conflict. ?? Next, move along to the plugins and temporarily deactivate all – except NextGEN Gallery, and go check to see if the issue is resolved. If so, one by one reactivate the other plugins until the issue comes back to locate the culprit. Keep me posted on your results. ??
