NextGen Slideshow not working

    I have installed the NextGen plugin and inserted on this page https://swingandsway.findmybiz.ca/?page_id=100 but nothing at all is showing. I also installed ImageRotator and have entered in the path to it in Gallery -> Options -> Slideshow, trying both the path to imagerotator.php as it installed with NextGen and imagerotator.swf as it installed with ImageRotator. Still nothing at all displaying.

    Suggestions?

  • How did this thread get marked as ‘resolved’? I don’t see a workable solution, just some ideas.

    I can’t get the slideshow to work either.

    I marked it as ‘resolved’ which was really just my way of saying ‘gave up’. I am using the ‘portfolio-slideshow’ plugin instead and reserving NextGen just for galleries.

    I gave up, too. I uninstalled the NextGEN plugin and I’m using the Gallery to display photos and the Portfolio Slideshow plugin for a slideshow.

    Eureka! I had a lightbox plug-in installed… deactivated it and, viola, the NextGen slideshow started working! (I had also installed Select JJ NextGen JQuery Cycle so that may have helped… not sure). So Lightbox plug-in was either interfering with NextGen’s slideshow function or the JJ plugin helped rejig some code.

    However, i now want to figure out how to insert the slideshow in page/post and have the text wrap around it… will search the forums but if anyone has a quick answer…

    To wrap it, couldn’t you just put the slideshow tag inside a floating div with appropriate margins?
