    Nexgen Shortcode not working in WordPress default content editor, the visual editor converts the shortcode into HTML and it stops working immediately. After you insert the shortcode in the editor or click publish the shortcode gets converted to this html below.

    <div class=”mceItem mceNonEditable nggPlaceholder”
    id=”1561637307124″
    data-shortcode=”ngg src="galleries" ids="22" display="basic_thumbnail"”
    data-mce-resize=”false”
    data-mce-placeholder=”1″
    contenteditable=”false”>
    <h3>NextGEN Gallery</h3>
    <div class=”nggPlaceholderButton nggIgwEdit”>
    Edit
    </div>
    <div class=”nggPlaceholderButton nggIgwRemove”>
    Delete
    </div>
    </div>

    this is what is view in the front end page

    NextGEN Gallery
    Edit
    Delete

    Please, help. already uninstall all plugin, not solution

    Hi @nstantely2019,

    Can you please let us know what theme are you currently using?

    Thanks

    I am not using a theme, it’s a custom scratch theme I build from front end, it only has the code I need. Shortcode is working well if I echo it in the template, but once it`s put in the content editor, it’s converted to the above html. For some reason, its working well on all my site, except one website after they did their update

    Can you please try to temporarily activate Twenty Nineteen generic theme then try to add a gallery to a post or page to see if that changes anything?

Nextgen has been working well also, but suddently stop working and it’s converting the shortcode to the above html I pasted. Thanks for providing the server setting but in this case – these wouldn’t point to any possible problem.

    We have heard of similar problems as strictly related to the theme ( i think it occured with Betheme and its Muffin Builder ) and we haven’t been able to find any other solution excepting suggesting to disable the Muffin Builder from the theme.

    This being said – deactivating the theme and temporarily activating a different theme is required in order to move forward with this specific issue debugging.

    I have this exact same issue, but intermittently. Did you find a fix?
