NextGEN Public Uploader duplicate images appear

Using NextGen with NextGEN Public Uploader and NextGen Voting. I have it working on my PC but notice a couple problems.

1. Something is causing multiple images to be uploaded to the gallery admin. Only one copy of the image is uploaded originally but after going to the page and either voting, clicking on the actual image or refreshing the page (I can’t narrow it down) I’ll look in the gallery admin and there will suddenly be 3,4,5 versions of the same image now.

Any ideas what’s causing this?

2. It appears iPhone and iPads can’t use the upload feature. Is that an iPad thing they can’t do it anywhere or just with NextGEN Public Uploader?
