NextGEN Public Uploader

Is NextCellent Gallery compatible with NextGEN Public Uploader? When I add the NextGEN Public Uploader shortcode to the page, neither the galleries or uploader appear on the frontend, the galleries appear when when Public Uploader shortcode is not included.
I really need my clients to be able to upload photos from the frontend. :-/ Thanks.
