    1. – I am using the ecommerce feature to sell digital downloads. I do not need the Prints and Products. How can I remove that from coming up?

    2. – Since I am selling hi-res digital downloads, how do I get nextgen to who a lower res on the lightbox pro? This would allow it to load faster instead of waiting on all the hi-res photos to load. If I re-size smaller, then the options to download for higher res are not available.

@sean Scott – Thanks! We’re just following the forum rules.

Hey Sean Scott, did you ever figure out how to remove the Prints and Products? I’ve been Googling my face off trying to find an answer but so far have come up empty handed. I don’t see an ‘obvious’ answer anywhere, so I assume it was some code that had to be manipulated? Any help would be most appreciated, thanks!

I assume you are setting it up for digital download only? Yes, I figured it out.

When you are managing your price list, under manual price list (where the prints would be), there is one option to enter your info. On the right of it, there is a black X to delete it. Delete it, then save. Now it will not show. If you go back in to edit the digital download section of the price list, you will have to repeat it the process again or else it will come back up.

That is fantastic, thank you SO much. I couldn’t believe how hard this was to find online. Also, very very not intuitive IMO. Thanks so much for the insanely fast response time. Oh and thanks for the tip about having to click the little black “x” EACH time you go in to make any kinds of modifications. I added a feature request to them to make this an option (preferably a checkbox or something saying “exclude prints & products” or “exclude digital downloads”). Again, THANK YOU for your quick reply!

@sean Scott – Thanks for sharing this hidden gem … we will be updating our documentation to help explain this and make it easier to find.

@davidsteenkamp – Our apologies for the inconveniences.

I actually further tested this (you learn something new everyday) and found that the same principle applies to the Manual Price List as well.

PS: We believe this will also be corrected in the next (major) release of NextGEN Gallery (2.0.68+) as it does all of the validation heavy lifting which is where the issue currently lies.

Thank you! I have been using the Beta and I look forward to the changes that are coming. I have been in touch with Becky on any issues that I have had.

Side note – the customer service of NextGen has awesome to deal with and I recommend buying this plugin.

    Hi all,

I haven’t quite download the Beta version yet, but does anyone know if there is a way to offer a ‘free’ digital download? I attempted to just put in $0.00 for the smaller size digital download item, but it still updates the cart and then proceeds to the payment gateway (in my case, PayPal)… and once there, it spits out an error message of “Please enter an amount greater than zero.” – is there a way around this? Or is the ability to add a ‘free’ downloadable item offered in the Beta version? Thx!
