• NextGEN version 2.0.66.29

    The NextGEN menu item in the WordPress admin no longer shows up. When trying to access any NextGEN pages manually I get this message “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

    I did two things before I noticed this problem. I changed the thumbnail size in the options and I tried to regenerate a thumbnail for one my images through a gallery page. I may have had two tabs open so I don’t know which one caused it but I assume it was one of these.

    I’ve tried reinstalling NextGEN but it didn’t fix it.

  • Dear Dpete,
    Sorry, I don’t know the NextGEN plugin.

    When you tried re-installing, did you de-activate and delete the plugin? If you only deactivated, it didn’t change any settings.

    If you don’t mind losing your plugin data, you might try deleting the plugin and re-downloading it.

    Or you might wait for someone with knowledge of the plugin to reply.

    My best,
    Ryan

    I tried both actually. Deactivating/reactivating and deleting the plugin and then re-installing.

    @ryan Kienstra – Thanks!

    @dpete – You may need to use our external Reset Tool plugin to sort this out. Please submit a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) with your site specifics and we will get the plugin out to you.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.
