NextGen images losing quality once uploaded

  • Can anyone tell me if nextGen resamples images when viewing? I am trying to figure out why all my images look slightly blurry once uploaded. They have been made at exactly the right size, I have optimised them so they look good but the file size is not too large in photoshop but when I upload them into NextGEN they soften and look slightly out of focus – not good for a graphic design portfolio! The strange thing is that when I save them off the website back to my desktop and check they are sharp again in photoshop.

    This is driving me nutty trying to figure out – would really appreciate some help on this.

  • Have you the ‘resize on upload’ option activated ?

    Hi Alex!

    I’ve similar problem… when i upload .jpg it lose color quality. when i put picture in gallery, or singlepic it looks realy bad. i made screenshot to show you the difference:

    however, when i put the photo by wp “load image” it’s look correctly. I mess with all option, made all configuration, but it still doesn’t work..
