NextGen gallery with single image: image forced down page

@kevinlycett – Although technically a “single image” slideshow should work we have seen cases where there are problems with it. I would actually recommend just using the NextGEN Basic Thumbnail or SinglePic display for single image displays.

Hi Cais. Thanks for the quick reply. But, really, what a mess! I’ve got to change 10 galleries,on both development and live sites, and then when the client wants to add more images to any of the single pic pages, I have to change them all again, and my client isn’t going to pay me a single cent for this, saying, entirely reasonably, it’s not his fault the software is so poor.

@kevinlycett – Given that you updated from a very old version (aka NextGEN Legacy version) have you tried just removing and reinserting the single image slideshows in those posts/pages?

Thanks for sticking with it Cais. Yes I did try removing and reinstating but it didn’t make any difference. (Reason why I’m updating so late from a legacy version is every single time I, inceeasingly reluctantly, update a clients site that uses Nextgen, and I have a lot, there is a heap of trouble and it never gets properly sorted out, so I’ve learnt to really dread doing an update, and avoid it if possible).

@kevinlycett – I just re-checked you example links and I am not seeing a Lightbox working in either case now?!
