NextGen Gallery where to set margin for gallery

I have a page with 2 galleries on it, and I would like more than the default bottom margin between gallery and the body text which follows. I have gone through the gallery.css and tried each margin-bottom setting, yet none of these effects the spacing on my page. Can anyone help?
