NextGen Gallery –Thickbox Effect Not Working

Hey i just installed the gallery on one of my blogs… i selected the effect in the admin panel: i chose Thickbox effect…. but i notice that when i click on a photo ..it opens normally without any effect…can someone tell me how to fix it ??
