  • Can you say exactly what you’re doing? How did you set up your galleries and what code you’re using?

    I have a similar problem. When I add template=caption to display my images’ captions, all my thumbnails disappear. I’m not clear on how an actually caption.php may or may not have to be added, nor what it should contain, so that may be my issue. Could you point me to the documentation that explains what the content of template file should be to create the effects shown in the templates docs, linked above? Thanks!

    I found that the templates are located at wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/view and need to be moved to wp-content/themes/YOUR-THEME/nggallery (a directory you create). When the templates are moved, then calling them via the tags works.

    It’d be super helpful if this were described more clearly on https://nextgen-gallery.com/templates/. Now that I re-read, the info is there. It just doesn’t come across clearly to the newbie.
