Nextgen Gallery stopped working – no images

    Nextgen Gallery 3.3.6

    Nextgen Gallery has stopped working for me on my wordpress site. I’ve changed themes, disabled recent plugins installed, but can’t figure it out.

    When I use the WordPress editor (either visual or text) and insert a gallery, when previewing the post (or viewing a saved post), I can’t see any images or gallery, only the words ‘Nextgen Gallery’ and underneath that ‘edit’ then ‘delete’ – in the place I would expect to see the gallery.

    Any ideas please what needs fixing here?

    Hi @taglad,

    This seems to be a valid bug with the TinyMCE library. This issue is a highly prioritized for us and we hope to see a fix released ASAP.

    In the meantime we are kindly recommending you to use default WP Gutenberg block editor instead of the Classic Editor to be able to insert NextGen Gallery blocks.

    Same here, my galleries stopped working…?? everything works in the gallery itself, i can upload, create, etc but when i insert it into my page just shows NextGen edit delete

    Identical problem. The 3.3.10 update did not fix it. Classic Editor is not even installed on this site.

    Hi everyone,

    We do apologize for the inconveniences created. Just wanted to follow up on this outstanding issue that our developers will try to fix as soon as possible. It is known for us that it occurs in most of the cases while using Classic Editor + Yoast SEO but the fix will be on us.

    This being said – the current suggested workaround is to either temporarily deactivate ( or rollback Yoast SEO plugin to the previous version of it ) or to use Gutenberg for inserting and editing gallery blocks.

    Any of the mentioned workarounds from above would require re-inserting the broken galleries ( just switching to Gutenberg or deactivating Yoast SEO will not help ).

    A fix for this issue is expected in the next NGG update.

    We have launched NextGen Gallery 3.3.17 that should fix the problem with the Insert Gallery Window.
