After updating to the latest version of NextGen Gallery, I am unable to access the Admin Pages (Add New Images, Manage Galleries, Manage Albums).

I am receiving the following when attempting to access those pages:

Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.

    https://ncfda.org/wp-admin/admin.php?page=nggallery-manage-gallery

I cannot access the galleries nor the albums menu to effectively manage the new galleries created prior to the update.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@hendricksncfda – If you were able to access them before, how long has it been since you updated NextGEN Gallery?

Essentially, the default Roles and Capabilities settings are for an Administrator; if you are not an administrator for the site (and/or your role is not a default Administrator versus a copy of the administrator role) then you might not have access due to that.

I updated to the new version of NexGen Gallery last week. I am currently on Version 2.2.33 of NextGen Gallery.

After the update, the Gallery tab moved for the Left Side Nav to the Top Nav and when I attempted to navigate to Manage Galleries or Manage Albums, I received the User Access Error.

I created a new Super-Admin Role and assigned all the available capabilities to it as well as a new user with the Super Admin Role. I was able to access the NextGen Gallery through this method, however CANNOT access it using the Admin account.

To clarify – I am using the Admin account that was created during the WordPress installation to access the manage galleries/albums pages and receive the access error.

@hendricksncfda – Is this a multisite installation? There are no “super admin” roles in a single site and the user must use the default WordPress role (not a copy created by any other method).

Hi have the same problem. I can’t add photos. This is NextGen version 3.0.1. There is no menu in the sidebar for add Gallery/Images as there was with pervious versions, but there is a menu at the top Gallery. When selecting that, I get “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

I’m trying to deliver this site and needed to add 1 photo. I have purchased Lifetime everything from you. I’m posting this on Imagely.com also.

    Hi all

Even I faced the same issue and was not able to access “Manage gallery” and “Manage albums” page.

Finally found out that this was some sought of plugin conflict, I had this plugin installed “Business WorldPay Gateway for Woocommerce” which stared appending plugin path to the above specified page urls, Deactivating this plugin did the trick for me.
