Nextgen Gallery Slideshow with Navigatin Bar

Is it possible to put a navigation bar (last slide – next slide) and a description of the slide also in the javascript slideshow of the Nextgen Gallery? Like it is now in the lightbox slideshow but then I would like to be able also to customize the arrows and letters of the description. I don’t want to use the flash-slideshow because it doesn’t show on iPad.
