• I’ve read other people’s posts on this but I still have a BLANK where the slideshow sidebar widget images should display.

The Nextgen Gallery Widget works in sidebar.

The Nextgen Slideshow Widget displays the title above but no images.
I have the correct path to imagerotator with no errors showing in options.

Anyone with similar situation and (hopefully) a solution?
    Thanks!

    Found it…
I had the correct path to imagerotator content/uploads/
BUT I needed to enter the entire string:
/content/uploads/imagerotator.swf which pops those images in perfectly.
Sorry for the post! Hope this helps someone.

I followed these instructions to the letter and put in the sidebar widget and all I get is the black background indicating it’s loading, but nothing ever loads. The gallery is set up correctly and the widget references the correct gallery. What could be the problem?

Same issue here. It works fine on MAMP, but just a black screen with the loader cog on the live server. I thought it was the URLs being passed to the swf at first, but as it works locally, it must be something else. I think it might be a permission issue, but that is just a hunch so far.

Sorted – it IS permissions. I found the answer here:

    https://www.envisageblue.com.au/news/articles/157-fix-nextgen-gallery-slideshow-and-wordpress-28

    imagerotator.php needs permissions as 755

Thank you envisage blue people – whoop! whoop!

Can’t check the link but I tried to change permissions & path but I still have this black screen loading pictures that don’t show. Any other idea ? thanks
