NextGEN Gallery not compatable with 2.7.1

  • I was just in my plugins page and notice NextGEN needed updating. So I clicked on it to update and I was warned that this version of NextGEN doesn’t work with my version of WordPress (2.7.1)

    But on the NextGEN Gallery plugin page it says that it works with 2.7 and above.

    Well, 2.7.1 is obviously above 2.7 so why I am I warned that it is not compatable with 2.7.1 when I go to upgrade?

  • Do not upgrade or say good bye to your gallery. It updates tables that aren’t compatible with WordPress 2.7.1
    I ignored it hoping it would fix some Google Image indexing issues but lost the gallery all together. As much as I love the plugin and would even consider donating but this just a pain.
