nextgen-gallery – nextgen-ajax path wrong
-
I expect that this is either a minor fix or a real bear. I have a website and below it is my wordpress “site”. In the wordpress options, I tell it that the main page is other than its normal main page – this all works pretty well (by using a PHP index to determine if the user wants the main site or to jump around in the news section.
So, I wanted to use the nextgen slideshow – it works, however, I see that the nextgen-ajax references are incorrect. My site is xxx.com, my wp is at xxx.com/wp. Nextgen-gallery figures out that the reference is to xxx.com/wp/wp-content/… but nextgen-ajax pointers incorrectly point to xxx.com/wp-content/…
I haven’t seen a difference when I put in a symbolic link to test this (by “creating” a wp-content in the main site), so, obviously, it doesn’t matter much to me.
[I have found that how things work in wordpress is so confusing and hard to find that I have a lot of unexplained things but don’t have 5 lifetimes to chase them down. What nextgen-ajax does is one of those – I turned it on, I turned it off.. OK, no obvious diff.. — which is why I say it doesn’t matter to me, except I feel it is important to give feedback if I can help someone with their product..]
If I wrote this, I would want to know that I had a disconnect and would be upset that people use it and don’t tell me – hence… I’m <uh> complaining?? Well, not complaining, just reporting — the only way I know that seems to be accepted in the wp world..
Hope this helps — and maybe someone actually is using nextgen-ajax in the same way and this note helps them.
Thanks — Joe B.
