NextGEN Gallery: Lightbox Effects – prettyPhoto

    Hello,

    I recently updated to NextGEN Gallery 2.0.66.29 from version 1.9.7 and I’m having trouble getting it to use prettyPhoto for the Lightbox Effect.

    In version 1.9.7 you just installed the prettyPhoto plugin, went to Gallery / Options / Effects, selected “Custom” from the dropdown option, then entered rel=”prettyPhoto[%GALLERY_NAME%]” in the Link Code line box.

    But in version 2.0.66.29 I go to Gallery / Other Options / Lightbox Effects, but then there isn’t the option for “Custom” from the dropdown box.

    Is there a different way of doing this in version 2.0.66.29?

    The main reason I want to use prettyPhoto is because that lightbox has a slideshow feature.

    @psychocenobite – Although we will be re-introducing the “Custom” option for Lightbox Effects in a near future release (hopefully the next major release) currently the work-around that follows the NextGEN Legacy method you described would be to change the details for one of the currently bundled Lightbox libraries.

    Would that solution involve going to Gallery / Other Options / Lightbox Effects / Show Advanced Settings for one of the standard NextGEN Lightbox Effects (i.e. Shutter 2) and changing the details to:

    Stylesheet URL:

    wp-content/plugins/prettyphoto-media/css/prettyPhoto.css

    Javascript URL:

    wp-content/plugins/prettyphoto-media/js/jquery.prettyPhoto.js
    wp-content/plugins/prettyphoto-media/js/jquery.prettyPhoto.min.js
