NextGen Gallery – disabling slideshow – need thumb links instead

Hello,

I need to disable the slideshow and make the thumbnails click-able to the page each thumbnail represents. I *think* I have disabled the slideshow correctly by selecting “None” in the Effects section (please correct me if I’m wrong) but I have not been able to figure out how to make the thumbs click-able to each page the thumb will refer to. It seems only to click over to a plain page displaying the larger image of the thumb instead of a page. I seem to only be able to do this by adding a link under each photo. If that is the only way to do it by adding a link under the thumb, then I need to know how to disable the click on the thumbnail that takes visitors to the plain page with the larger image.

I need this to also work the same in the NextGen sidebar widget.

Also, when there is an upgrade to the NextGen will it overwrite the custom configuration that I need above?
