NextGen Gallery Descriptions with HTML

I have a caption-style gallery set up and am just trying to place hyperlinks into each photo’s description. When I go into “manage galleries” and add the hyperlinks, it breaks that particular photo in the gallery. It disables the hyperlink on the photo, shows the hyperlink description text below it, then adds broken code to the top “” class=’ngg_lightbox’ >”. Is there any way to edit the gallery code to allow hyperlink functionality in the description? I tried the Tiny MCE plug-in and still had the same problem.
