Nextgen-Gallery conflicts with menu

Follow up to my earlier post:
The top menu images worked fine on all pages except when a nextgen-gallery album was opened. Then the menu images could not be found so only alt text showed up. The only thing that resolved this was to use the full website address in img src, and I mean the FULL address with https://www… Weird. Probably not the best solution but I’ve wasted enough time. Not sure why the nextgen-garllery album page interferred with images in the top menu it did. Also, in IE only, prevented the round corners style (img.corner) from working. The right corner images, top and bottom, on the sidebar could be found but the css for left corners did not work so I gave up on rounded corners for the sidebar.
