• I am curious on if there are plans to fix the alarming resource consumption issues with this plugin. My issues with memory allocation are fairly well documented with my php.ini being jacked up to ridiculous numbers. However I’m seeing issues with MySQL. When importing a folder in 1.19.13, the page eventually times out, however MySQL is still working hard in the background processing. This leads to any page using the plugin to time out when loading, whether it be within the dashboard or the site itself. Until your script finishes its work with MySQL, the vast majority of my site is useless, as we rely heavily on this plugin. This processing takes nearly 5 minutes on a folder containing ~40 items, and I’m currently scared to even try to import the much larger galleries we commonly create. I have been trying to work with the updated 2.0.11 on a dev platform, however following the upgrade, navigating to any page also leads to MySQL working overtime to process the page, where I eventually have to kill the process. I am at a loss of what steps I can take, and haven’t even had a change to test the import feature of the new version because I can’t even get pages that previously had no issues to even load properly. Rolling the dev site back immediately fixes that issue. I want to upgrade and purchase Pro as this has features we desperately want to have, however as much as we rely on this plugin and have for some time, it is now killing us. We shouldn’t have to essentially schedule gallery imports which we may have to start doing with the 1.9.13, and I can’t update to 2.0.11 because it will literally kill the site since one ~40 image page can’t even properly load. Is there something in the works to address these resource issues? Is there anything that can be done to not temporarily kill my site when importing galleries? I wish I could remember the exact version I was using where I could import large galleries, have the process complete including the thumbnail generation, where the site was still functional while all of that was taking place, because I would gladly roll back to that. I don’t know what’s been going on with the updates throughout 2013 both before and after 2.0, but they have really crippled us. We have built our site around the functionality of this plugin because it used to be amazing. Now that we essentially rely on it, these updates have put us in a standstill. As of right now, there is no way that we can fully use this plugin without the site being temporary disabled as new galleries are being imported (1.9.13) or when simple pages using the plugin are loading (2.0.x). 2.0.x is literally a site-killer right now. Why are your plugin and MySQL draining resources as of earlier this year? Will I ever be able to run my site normally again? Years of work are slowly fading away, and we really don’t want to start using something else which will delay our redesign even more. Please look into and fix this. I will be happy to provide any more details if needed. Thank you.
