NextGEN Gallery album doesnt work

Same here. WordPress 3.1.3, NextGEN Gallery 1.8.1

The same thing happens – album is displayed with ggalleries, but clicking the gallery just reloads the same page.

Have not used albums before today.

I’m here exactly for this issue, on which my site totally depends :(.
After the upgrade to WP 313, I can’t access any section of the Admin area.

It’s definately a NextGen incompatibility, as it works when deleting its plugin folder.

The galleries are visible in articles, but after loging in, I can’t get to the dashboard or any other page under wp-admin.

On the plugin page it says it’s compatible with 312.
The makers of this great plugin should know there are a lot of users who can’t wait for a fix of this issue. Don’t let us down, please :).

I found a partial solution on a website. Simply ad
?>
at the end of wp-config.php file.
This way I was able to enter some areas of the Admin area: not the main dashboard, but the Updates, Plugins even the NextGen Gallery Overview page.
I still can’t add or edit galeries, nor post or edit posts, so the situation is still dramatic.

Some new hints for the developing team: I also tried WP 3.2 beta 2 and it’s the same and the last version of NextGen, 1.8.1, said to be compatible with WP 3.2, without success.
The problem might be a database related. After changing the files to a newer version of WP I got the message about upgrading the database, the announcement it was successful and after that the blank dashboard page.

After a day of work and search I got it to work with 3.1.3, using the new version of this plugin.
It seems that some tweaks I’ve made in some files of NextGen in order to display differently the galleries and the admin page had to be remade using the new files, which I was glad to find out, contain much less lines of code.

the problem is the album exist in my site but when i clicked it it just reloads into the same page and doesnt show the gallery..
is wp 3.1.2 and nextgen 1.8.1 compatible?

I can’t help you, I only had problems in the administration area, the galleries were displayed fine. I’ve changed the folders of the plugin and of wordpress several times, now I have 1.8.1 and 3.1.3 together working, I’m sure it also works for 3.2 beta. Put the original files from the site for both and see what happens.

Nope, didn’t find the solution. As far as I can tell I only have problems with albums, the page with albums reloads itself. Everything else works fine.

Unfortunately no, it’s in development therefore against company policy

However, all of a sudden it works – partially – now when I click on a gallery in an album, the gallery loads, only without any controls or link, like “back to album” or something like that.

Note that I’ve never used NGG albums before so don’t know how they’re supposed to behave.

I don’t know why suddenly it’s working. I have made changes to my site but not with NGG, did turn on/off some plugins.

EDIT: This is bizarre – I’ve changed the shortcode from extended to compact album and back again and neither worked.

Something definitely weird going on with NGGH albums in this version

At ‘Manage Albums’, I am unable to drag and drop a gallery from ‘Select Gallery’ to ‘Select Album’.

Actually, I can drag it, but it won’t drop, i.e. stay there.

Any ideas?

I upgraded to 1.8.2 and still the same. However, albums do work if no other plugins are active in the post. I use Shortcodes Ultimate and albums do not work together with it.

I also have this problem.

I’m running the latest version go the plugin and WP.

Have tried to deactivate and activate, but nothing happens.

Whatever I click it just reloads the page. My guess is it started happened for me with the latest updates of WP.

For me it works, but weird. I f I add shortcode to show the album for a certain tag(s), it works, and above the imagesthere’s a link “Overview” to go back a page, but when I input a shortcode to display a list of all tags, it displays tags, and when I click on one of them it opens the album, but there’s no back link whatsoever, just images.
