    Hello All; I got the same error msg when I try to upload pics into NexGen Gallery :
    ———————–
    An unexpected error occured. This is most likely due to a server misconfiguration. Check your PHP error log or ask your hosting provider for assistance.
    ————————-
    I looked into PHP error log and found no error. I looked in the NextGen Gallery and I found all pictures are inside. so the upload is fine and I just get this error msg.

    I did more tests and found that NextGen button is not working on the Page or post. When I click on NextGen button to insert Gallery into the page/post. there are nothing showing under “Display Gallery”. so I can not insert Gallery into the page/post.

    @[email protected] – Have you tried the Reset Option under Gallery > Other Options? There could also be a plugin conflict, have you checked for that? Also, what WordPress Permalinks are you using?

    Hello Cais, I did try Reset Option. but I still have the same problem. when I click on NextGen button on the Page and try to insert Gallery. there is nothing show up under “Display Gallery”. so I can not insert pics. I will do research…

    @[email protected] – Thanks for the update … also, in rare cases, it may be a theme conflict so you should also check if you temporarily switch to a default WordPress Twenty series theme.

    I’d like to revive this thread — I’ve got the exact same problem as Bruce.

    Photos upload fine, no php error in log, but this message is making my non-techy client worried.

    Here are the steps I’ve taken:

    • updated wordpress
    • updated nextgen
    • turned off all plugins except nextgen
    • changed theme to twentyfifteen

    No change. Please advise. Thank you.
