[NextGEN Custom Fields] – Copy Custom Fields With Images

    Hello out there,

    i’m using the NExtgen Gallery (latest) along with the Plugin “NextGEN Custom Fields”. That combination is great but there is one thing that i miss very badly. When i copy pictures from one gallery to another Nextgen does not copy the Custom fields.

    I already tried to find solutions in the web, but there is nothing more usefull than this. The solution is very old and does not work anymore.

    So if somebody has suggestions or has a snippet it would be great of you to help out!

    Thanks for pointing that out again. As I mentioned in the last thread, at the time I didn’t even know you could copy images across galleries ??

    Let me have a look at the code, and see if I can hack something together for you.

    thanks for the superquick reply. if you’d like i can give you a look in to one of my wp-sites with preinstalled nextgen & custom fields. just need a way to send you the login data.

    Hey again

    I had a brief look over the weekend, and remembered why it isn’t in by default; NextGen Gallery doesn’t provide a ‘hook’ for other plugins to know when copying is taking place.

    If I get some free time this weekend, I might be able to make the code work from my side, but it will require the manual adding of a line or 2 of code into the NextGen core files.

    If I do get this working, I will put in a request with Alex to get the hooks added by default.

    But I don’t want to promise anything right now. My day job is keeping me plenty busy ??
