NextGen Basic Slideshow not working

I updated to WordPress 3.6.1 and NextGen 2.0.23 and the slideshow that is on my homepage no longer works. I now only have a page of thumbnails. Slideshow galleries on my portfolio page work just fine. I’ve reset the “Display Galleries As” menu to, slideshow, in Gallery Settings and installed NextGen 2.0.27 but that did not fix the problem.
