• Hello

I wonder if you have come up with a fix for the WP simple paypal shopping cart integrated into NextGen galleries? I am getting [Not a valid template] instead of the gallery and the paypal links.

I have upgraded to the newest version of NextGen (2.14), but it isn’t working. Part of the problem is that there isn’t a view folder to put the gallery-wp-eStore.php into and I’m not sure where else to put it. (and I have tried a few places with no luck)

I’ve searched everywhere and can’t find a solution. In the meantime I may have to roll back to version 1.9.

    Thank you.

Ok, I think I just figured it all out… so if you haven’t found a solution try this cause it worked for me.

    1. The location you need to put the gallery-wp-eStore.php file is /wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/view.

    2. It has been a while since I have updated my plugins, so I am not sure what version I was on before, but they changed the shortcode you use from [wp_cart:My Photo 1:price:19.95:end] to [wp_cart_button name=”My Photo 1″ price=”19.95″]. Notice the _button name addition and the use of the ” ” around your product instead of :, and now its blank at the end instead of using the closing :end.

This really sucks cause I have a ton of changing to do now that will probably take me hours! But at least I have it working now!
I was in panic mode for a minute and now I can get to work on making the changes.

I hope this helps you and anyone else that needs a solution!
    Good luck!

Sorry I forgot to add step 3.

    3. It has changed as to what you put on your page to display the gallery. It has changed from [nggallery id=1 template=wp-eStore] to [nggallery id=1 template=”wp-cart”]. Notice the “wp-cart” instead of wp-estore.

Here is more documentation for tips and tricks I found

I am still finding a few things that are weird such as I use to have 3 columns of pics showing thumbnails. Now I only show 2. I am trying to figure out how to change that if I can.

Thank you zawiet. I contacted the wp simple shop people and at first they claimed there was no issue, and then they said they had updated the plugin and it was fixed. By that time though, the client was quite upset, so I went back to a previous version of Nextgen and frankly, I haven’t had time to play with it to test to see if it was working! The site I have it on fisherencaustic.com/shop/,(and I see the client has been playing with it) has five columns, so I hope I’ll be able to continue with that. Let me know if you figure out that too! I’m glad you were able to figure out some of it. and thanks for posting your fixes so far!
