NextGen and Theme X trouble
-
I have just updated my Theme today and it caused a conflict with my themes Editor, Cornerstone. I have paid for the Pro theme and haven’t been able to use the the gallery editor from day 1, now I have had to deactivate your plugin to be able to get into my site to edit it. Please can you provide a solution for this problem or a refund please.
I wish I knew this before paying for the NextGen Plugin:
Most “page builder” code does not properly handle NextGEN Gallery … the only options in those cases is to use manually entered shortcodes.
This is what Theme X support has to say:
Hello There,
Thanks for posting in!
You have placed the define code in the right place, adding just below the define(‘debug’….
Our developers strongly abides and use the WordPress best practices for better performance of the theme and plugins. At any event, WordPress changes its core, we changed things to conforms how WordPress delivers or do things their way to ensure that no conflicts will arise and as much as possible, our theme and plugin will work with any other plugin available.
In the case of NextGen plugin, we can not do something about it if they load different version from what WordPress is using. We might not be able to fix it. We strongly follow WordPress and WordPress alone. May we suggest that you use a different plugin that is almost the same as what NextGen has to offer. You can surely find something that will work out for you. Doing this will ensure your that you will not encounter problems and conflict in the future if you are using the theme and set of plugins that abides and strongly follows WordPress best practices.
Thank you.
Kind regards
damian
